Easter in Pink

Today's Free 4 All challenge at Splitcoast Stampers is to use the color pink.

I used the beautiful new Flowering Dogwood Collection by Heartfelt Creations to create my Easter Card.  The base paper is from the new paper pad.  The church, dove, and dogwood branches were heat embossed on water color paper and colored with water markers.  The steeple section of the church was cut out and raised to give more dimension.  The church is framed with the HFC Botanic Window and the dogwood flowers were created using this tutorial, then glitter was added.

Heartfelt Creations Design Team Call

Greetings Friends,
I am so excited to let you know that Heartfelt Creations is having a Design Team Call,  I have such a great time playing with all of the HFC stamps and dies, that I thought I'd better give the challenge a try and enter three cards.

I can't tell you how thrilled I am with the Under the Sea Collection!  I love brights and this is the perfect set to play with color.  The heat embossing in black really makes all of the images pop and seems to make the colors brighter.  The Under the Sea paper collection is my favorite (ok, second favorite now that the Dogwood paper collection is here! hee!) I just love the beautiful teals and corals and the foldout card is a perfect way to use all of the images in a beautiful underwater scene!

Directions:
Cut out two curved border pieces with the Fleur Border Basics in black. Add paper from Heartfelt Creations paper pad to panels of foldout card using Heartfelt Creations Tutorial.  Heat emboss your favorite images from the Under the Sea stamp collection in black and water color with markers or stamp pads and a water brush, attach with foam tape.  Sponge and shape the Tropical Hibiscus flowers using the HFC Hibiscus Tutorial and attach so they don't interfere with the folds.

Heartfelt Creations Supplies:

Other Supplies:
Heat embossing, foam tape, ink pads for sponging flowers, markers for water color, foam tape.

Ok, on to the second card made with the breathtaking Dogwood Collection.

I honestly can't express how gorgeous this new Heartfelt Creations set is, I can't stop making Dogwood flowers, I have a giant pile of pink, blue, green and lavender blooms waiting for my next project.

Directions:
Cut lavender cardstock for 6 inch card.  Matt background from the Dogwood paper collection on white cardstock and then attach to base.  Stamp and cut out Dogwood blossoms using the Heartfelt Creations tutorial.  Stamp and heat emboss in black: crosses, dogwood blossoms and dove from the HFC Dogwood Collection on water color paper, water color images (markers and water pen were used here).  Use the Botanic Window die to cut out water colored crosses and window frame. Use flower shaping tool to shape dove and dogwood branches. Cut apart Dogwood sprigs to line the window and place single Dogwood branch under dove, use foam tape to give dove more depth and glue on dogwood flowers.  Finish with greeting stamped on tag.  Add glitter.

Heartfelt Creations Supplies:

Other Supplies:
Heat embossing, glitter glue, foam tape, stitched tag die, watercolor markers.

Yes, there is a fairy cottage hidden in this card!

Directions:

Cut panels to fit your 6x6 foldout card with the Heartfelt Creations Tutorial using paper from the Wildwood Cottage Paper Collection and add Fleur Border Basics die in minty green. Heat emboss your favorite images from the Wildwood Cottage and Woodsy Wonderland collections and water color with markers or sponge and cut out.  Stamp and cut out flowers with the Wildwood Florals and add prills and glitter.  Create a scene on each panel, being careful that the flowers don't effect the fold.  Cut out the fairy cottage and add bricks with a brick texture embossing folder.   Most importantly, add more glitter!

Heartfelt Creations Supplies:

Other Supplies:
Brick embossing folder, glitter, foam tape, heat embossing, water color pens and brush.

Blessings,
DJ

Butterfly Valentine

It's time to create valentine cards, and nothing is more fun than making some Heartfelt Creation flowers to go with the hearts.  These roses were made with the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose stamps and dies and sponged with yellow, pink and plum inks.  The butterfly is from the HFC Botanical Wings stamp set and dies and was also sponged.  This beautiful plum background paper is from the Heartfelt Creations Zinnia pad and it was dry embossed before being layered on a darker plum card base.  I used My Favorite Things heart and die tags and a Verve Valentine greeting to finish it up.

Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies: Classic RoseBotanical Wings, Classic Rose Vines
Other Supplies: MFT heart and tag dies, butterfly embossing folder, glitter glue, prills, foam tape.

Blessings,
DJ
