I made this card for this week's color and sketch challenges over at Splitcoaststampers.com. This Sweet n Sassy stamps scripture verse is mounted on Spellbinder dies and the flower spray is made with My Favorite Things flower and flourish dies. The scalloped borders are also by Sweet n Sassy Stamps.

Down by the Boardwalk
Glimps of the sun have really made me crave summer and a chance to walk on the beach! I heat embossed this Sweet n Sassy Stamps starfish and colored him with Tombow markers. I placed him on the dock (hopefully someone will throw him back in!) with some seaglass colored Dew Drops and Psalm 139: 9-10 mounted on a wavelike Spellbinders Floral oval die.

Friends of Speedy TV Challenge - Border Punch
This week's Friends of Speedy TV challenge at Mark's Finest Papers is to use a border punch, come join us, a different stamp set is given away to a winner every week! http://www.mfpspeedytv.ning.com/
We had an embossing challenge a couple weeks ago and I really loved the heat embossed effect and have been heat embossing most of my images since, and coloring them with Tombow markers. It gives the church a great shine that can't be seen in the picture. There's a My Favorite Things flourish behind the seam binding bow and I lined the bottom with dew drop glass beads, and of course, an edge punch!!

Morning Glories
My inspiration for this Sweet n Sassy card was the beautiful new paper by Echo Park and My Mind's Eye. Come visit the Sweet N Sassy Stamps blog for more ideas and beautiful images. http://www.sweetnsassystamps.blogspot.com I heat embossed the morning glory image and colored with Tombow markers, then raised with foam tape on a oval doily die. I've been thinking about these Spellbinder flourishes that I've had for a while and never used, tryed it in different colors, but teal seemed to work best with the seam binding ribbon. I added a twine bow behind the seam binding to add a country feel and to go with the wood patterned paper.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge
This week's Friends of Speedy TV challenge at Mark's Finest Papers is to make a Friendship card, join us http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com. This card was so much fun to make, I was inspired to make a country card by this beautiful designer paper by My Mind's Eye, I decided to make blue pansies and lace.
I heat embossed the pansies and colored with Tombow markers and a water pen. The image was cut out and raised with foam tape on an embossed plaid SB circle and placed on a Cheery Lynn doily die. I gave shadow to the lace edge by punching it in blue and white and layering them. The sentiment is raised with foam tape on a Spellbinders Picot die and jewel stickers were added for sparkle.
Stamps: Mark's Finest Papers - Spring Flowers (Pansies), Dogwood Blossoms (sentiment)
Paper: My Mind's Eye, SU
Accessories: Embossing folders, seam binding ribbon, foam tape, Cheery Lynn doily die, Spellbinder dies, MS edge punch, half pearls, jewel stickers, Tombow markers, blender pen, embossing powder, heat gun

MFT Guest Designer Contest
This is the card I made for the My Favorite Things Guest Designer Contest. The theme this month for the contest is 'Hit the Books'. I brought the book challenge out in my card by adding wordy designer paper, a script embossed bg, and I made the card for a teacher thank you, teacher's always love books!!
I colored this precious Pure Innocence image with copics and paper piecing and I glossed the apple with Diamond Glaze, she's raised with foam tape on a My Favorite Things oval Decorative Doily die in black.
I really enjoy making flowers and MFT has the most beautiful flower and leaf dies.
The white flower is made with the e MFT Prima Donna Petals die set. I used a stylis from my flower making tool kit to give the petals dimension and added a half pearl to the center. The roses are made with the Mini Rolled Roses, I inked the edges and once again used the stylis for dimension. A seam binding bow, swirl die, and leaf dies bring up the rear.
Stamps: My Favorite Things Pure Innocence - Apple for You
Accessories: My Favorite Things Prima Donna Petals, Mini Rolled Roses, leaf, Decorative Doily, Faux Crochet Border, and Swirl dies, half pearls, embossing folders, Spellbinder dies, Copic markers, foam tape, seam binding ribbon, jewel stickers, Diamond Glaze.

After the hop, make plans to join us for our New Release Party over in our Member Company Forums on Splitcoaststampers. We'll have full reveals of all the stamp and dies sets being released this month, challenges to inspire you, and of course fun chatter with great friends! See you there!
I stamped the Paris collage on watercolor paper in black and distressed the edges, the roses and leaves are colored with Tombow markers and I ran a little rust ink along the border. The background panels were embossed with embossing folders and touched with more distressing ink and the flower is made with Spellbinder scalloped circles that were scrunched and distressed.
