I was very tempted by the lilacs, but I recently created a lilac card and wanted to go with the green and yellow.

The floral rug inspired my background paper and I added some lace for the country feel of the photo.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #126 - Flowers

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a card with flowers , join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.

For our flower card, I chose the Bearded Iris, heat embossed and water colored it with re inkers, then mounted it on Spellbinder dies.  The background plaid was made with the plaid stamp from the Kilt Fun Stamp set.

ODBDSLC203 Sketch

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is a sketch.  Join us here for all of the details.

I took the sketch and flipped it, and made it into a square card.  I thought I'd better get a start on Father's Day cards, the holiday always sneaks up on me so I used this beautiful ocean scene, adding the Fishing Net background, with a twine knot and a strip of cork.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #125 - Gift Bag

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a gift bag , join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.

I have a guy birthday coming up next week and I thought this would be the a great opportunity to make up a gift bag.  I did it very simply with a brown paper bag and the On the Fly stamp set from MFP, and the sentiment comes from the Buffalo Spring stamp set.  I stamped the fish on the bag with Kraft color ink and colored the gift tag with Copic markers, finishing it up with a green satin bow.I

ODBDSLC202 F-L-O-W-E-R Recipe challenge

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is to make a card using the recipe word F-L-O-W-E-R, use at least four letters from the word.  Join us here for all of the details.

For the F-L-O-W-E-R recipe challenge, I chose:

F - Flower

L- Lace

O - Olive

W - Wings

E - Embossing

R - Ribbon

I wanted to use all the letters in the word and struggled with the letter 'W', until I realized I have these wonderful new wings from the ODBD Angels Wings dies.  I layered a beautiful verse from the ODBD Scripture Series 10 set on Spellbinder dies and also layered the wings with an olive seam binding bow and a Spellbinder rose.  Under it all is the new designer paper by ODBD from the Rustic Beauty paper collection, which I embossed with an embossing folder.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #124 - Kraft & Red

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is a color challenge with Kraft & Red , join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.

For the Kraft & Red challenge I thought I'd bring out this wonderful MFP Poppies set to heat emboss and water color.  All of the dies are by Spellbinder and I added a gingham bow to top it off.

ODBDSLC201 Wing it

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is to make a card with wings.  Join us here for all of the details.

For my card with wings, I selected the new ODBD Angel's Wings dies and added a sentiment from the Carried to Heaven stamp set.  I used my Versamark ink pad along the bottom edges of the wings and heat embossed them with silver, as well as the die with the sentiment.  I paired the new ODBD Custom Vintage Label dies with other Spellbinder dies for the layered look.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #123 - Congratulations

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a Congratulations card, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.

I can't get enough of the beautiful Mark's Finest Papers flowers from the Camellia stamp set so I used them again this week for my Congrats card.  I chose the softest pink to match my own favorite camellias from my yard, heat embossed and water colored them with re inkers and added some Spellbinder dies. Each flower is cut out and popped with foam tape.
