I heat embossed the flower from the Mark's Finest Papers 'Hum Along' stamp set and colored with SU reinkers. I layered with Spellbinder dies and foam tape for dimension and added a Taylored Expressions lace border die and a seam binding ribbon bow.

I picked out my favorite pumpkin bread recipe to make up this weekend. I heat embossed this pretty Mark's Finest Papers pumpking and water colored with Stampin Up reinkers.
Pumpkin Bread
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c Wesson Oil
1 c pumpkin (canned)
1 2/3 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ginger
1 c white raisens (optional)
1/2 c nuts (optional)
1 1/2 c chocolate chips (optional)
Beat sugar and eggs until fluffy. Add oil, pumpkin, and water. Mix flour and dry ingredients together and add to the mixture. Add raisens, nuts, choco chips. Bake in a preheated oven 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

When I found out we were to make a non-traditional valentine, I thought of my son, who doesn't like the color red. I kept the hearts, ribbon, and greeting of the holiday and just switched out the color.

This week I wanted to make a very girly lacey Valentine. I heat embossed and colored this fabulous Mark's Finest Papers rose with Stampin Up reinkers. I added some embossing folder texture and crinkled the Magnolia lace border and sponged on some antiquing ink.

I thought this was the perfect opportunity to make a card for our future neighbors across the street, the house has been for sale for almost a year and I'm excited for someone to finally move in. I heat embossed the MFP city image in black and framed with a Spellbinder frame die. The rose is made with two shades of kraft with a My Favorite Things heirloom rose die and flourish.

I don't know how creative my idea for ribbon was, but I decided to make a tablecloth to put under my teacups. The ribbon itself was the color inspiration, white with yellow flowers. I cut out cups in different dp and raised them with foam tape on a new Cottage Cutz doily die.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge - Recycle

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a card with a recycled item, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set: http://www.mfpspeedytv.ning.com/.
The recycled item I chose for this card is the green ribbon which came on a jar of homemade cookie mix that I received at Christmas. I coordinated it with green cardstock and embossed wood grain dp with a wood grain embossing folder. The cabin and fish are heat embossed and water colored with Stampin Up reinkers, the fish is popped out with foam tape. These Recollections glass stickers were added and they actually have a blue and green plaid pattern inside.
