My Favorite Challenges

I'm playing in a couple My Favorite Things challenges today.
The first is this week's sketch 304.

Today I got a chance to play with the new MFT Cooler With You Card Kit, it has so many cute images!  The background was stamped with the Garden Flourish BG and I used the Double Stitched Oval Stax Die-namics to cut out by snowy scene.  The snow was created with the Snowfall -Horizontal Die-namics, the hills with Card Kit, and the birch is from the Birch Tree Die-namics.  The snowflake accent was made with the Let it Snowflake, Vintage Buttons, and a drop of Nuvo Gloss White.  The greeting is from the Cool Day set on a tag from Blueprints 18

The second challenge is a color challenge.

The large panel was cut out with the stitched square from the Blueprints 8 Die-namics and stamped with the Lined Up Dots BG.  The center circle was cut out with the Zig Zag Stitched Oval Stax, and the scene was made with Snowfall -Horizontal Die-namics, Snow-Capped Mountains, Winter Trees, and Stitched Whimsical Waves. I added a flower made with Modern Blooms stamp set, Deer Friend Die-namics, and Leafy Greenery.  The image and greeting are from the Deer Friends set.

Bear in the Forest

I'm participating in the My Favorite Things Sketch 291.

For the sketch I used the MFT Forest Friends stamp set and colored the bear with copics.  The background forest was created with a water color and the Die-namics Birch Trees, on the Die-namics Stitched Rectangle STAX, and the matt was made with the Die-namics Pinking Edge Rectangle STAX. The designer paper is from the MFT Subtle Plaids Paper Pack cut out with the Blueprints 8 Stitched Square and the greeting was stamped on a die from the Blueprints 20.  The center strip was dry embossed.

Blessings!

MFT Camp Create

It's time again for the My Favorite Things Camp Create week.
Print

For the first project, foiling, I created a graduation card.

To create the starry sky background I used Color Burst water color powders after spritzing water color paper with water, once it dryed, I added additional drops of water.  The stars were cut out of Gold Foil Cardstock, using the Die-namics Stacking Stars and Die-namics Pierced Star STAX.   The word 'stars' was cut out with Die-namics Count the Stars, with the first part of the greeting from the stamp set of the same name, and mounted on a dry embossed strip.

Print

For the second card, coloring on Kraft, I made a thank you card.

I heat embossed the MFT Scribble Roses in white and colored them all with a white Prisma pencil before coloring them with again with color pencils, the white pencil seems to make the colors brighter.  I added a greeting from the Die-namics Words of Gratitude and white dots made with a gel pen.

For the third card, Inlaid, I made a birthday card with my new MFT stencil and dies.

I stenciled the balloons with the Big Balloons stencil and inlaid the birthday greeting with the Die-namics Happy Birthday.  The background was dry embossed and I added a paper clip from the Die-namics Office Supplies set.

The fourth challenge is to use masking on a card, and I also used this week's MFT sketch 289.

I did a lot of masking for my inlaid card of balloons, so for this one I masked off the girl so I could stamp the MFT Linen Background on her hat.  I used the MFT BB Sunflower Sweetheart stamp set and die-namics and colored her with copics and paper pieced her dress.  The background was stamped in Sweet Tooth with the Writing Tablet Background on Kraft.

Here's my fifth and final card for MFT Camp Create, create a background for a card.

To create this card, I used the leaf from the MFT Prehistoric Fun set and the acorn from the Forest Fun set, the deer and greeting are also from the Forest Fun set.  I colored the images with white Prisma pencil and then followed that with colored Prismas and some white gel pen dots.  The deer was colored with copic markers.  I cut through my acorn background with a  Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner die-namic and raised that panel with foam tape, then raised a smaller fishtail die-namic that was stamped with the Gingham Background and placed it in the middle with the deer on top, giving it lots of dimension.  The greeting was stamped on a banner from the MFT Blueprints 20.

Thanks to My Favorite Things for all of the fun challenges!
