Friends of Speedy TV challenge - Holiday Card
The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a holiday card, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set: http://www.mfpspeedytv.ning.com/.
I had a great time coloring up this pretty Mark's Finest Papers lantern, and it goes perfectly with this beautiful sentiment! I did my usual heat embossing and coloring with Stampin Up reiners.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge - Altered Item
The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make an altered item, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set: http://www.mfpspeedytv.ning.com/.
For the challenge I created a vellum candleholder. To reach around the glass bowl, I stamped the poinsettias on the diagonal of the vellum, heat embossed, colored with Stampin Up reinkers, and cut out the strip and attached it to the glass at candle level. I really want to make a bunch of these for my Christmas dinner table!!

Every once in a while I like to get out my light box and dry emboss with brass stencils. This snowman was made with a Lasting Impressions snowman brass stencil and styis.
