Today I'm playing along with the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, you can find the challenge here.
For my coffee card, I dry embossed an aqua background and stamped the java sentiment from the Verve Better With You stamp set a few times to make the kraft background. A little pizzaz was added with a circle and scalloped border dies.
Corrugated cardboard was used to create the large heart and two coffee cups were fussy cut from designer paper and corrugated cardboard hand cozies cut out, as well as the tiny hearts. All of the stamps are from the Verve Better With You Stamp set.
For the challenge, I covered my base paper with Broken China Oxide ink and inked the diamond stencil in the same shade, then inked a flourish stencil in Cracked Pistachio. The stitched fishtail was inked in Broken China also with a circle stencil. The stitched fishtail, arrow, large stitched background, and stitched circle dies are from My Favorite Things.
The Stamps of Life Sharkpudgie dies and stamps were used to stamp and cut out the shark and cut out the waves. The shark was heat embossed and water colored with Stampin Up markers.
The Splitcoaststampers Sketch this week can be found here.
For the sketch, I wanted to try out some of the new Stampin Up colors. The base cardstock is Fresh Fig and the matt was made with Berry Burst, the designer paper is from the Heartfelt Creations Raindrops on Roses paper collection and the base was dry embossed and a smaller rectangle of rose covered paper was added under the flowers, the sentiment was also cut out from the paper.
The doily was made from two HFC Decorative Medallion Dies put together and a bow made with Fresh Fig ribbon was added to the roses. The small rose vines were created with the HFC Classic Rose Bouquet.
The roses were made with the HFC Vintage Foret stamps and dies. The roses were stamped and sponged in Berry Burst ink and centers were sponged with the new SU Lemon Lime Twist ink, then glittered.
For the challenge, I cut out a piece of Kraft card stock and stamped with a MFT Gingham BG stamp in Kraft color ink, then cut out my leaf with the Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf Die. I used the die to trace around the die cut with a white chalk pen.
The Splitcoaststampers Sketch for the week can be found here.
For the sketch I used the Heartfelt Creations Classic Wedding Collection and the HFC Classic Rose Collection. The bottom panel was embossed with an embossing folder, the diagonal panel was also dry embossed and placed on two medallions from the wedding set. The bells were sponged and painted with silver paint and a sentiment cute out from the Classic Wedding Paper Collection. Finally, I added Nuvo Crystal Drops around the edges of the lacy border.
I made this card with my son's 21st birthday in mind since he loves to travel and yellow and orange are his favorite colors. I stamped the Rubbernecker European Travel stamp twice, once on the left on Crushed Curry and then again on mixed media paper that was inked with oxide inks. The belt is from the Heartfelt Creations Pampered Pooch Pals stamp and die set, it was originally intended to be a collar, but I love it as a belt, I stamped it in black and sponged it with grey ink. The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs.
The Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge colors are: Blushing Bride Pear Pizzazz Wisteria Wonder
The background was made with dry embossed designer paper by Heartfelt Creations. I added a gate and window by Cheery Lynn, the pink flowers were make with the HFC Flowering Dogwood and the lavender flowers were made with the Classic Petunias. The sentiment is also from the Petunia set and is stamped on a stitched MFT die.
I really enjoyed making a masculine card yesterday with the Heartfelt Creations Everyday Hero paper collection, so I decided to use it again today and make a feminine card. The roses were created with the HFC Classic Rose stamps and dies, sponged in ink that matched the paper and glittered. The leaves were created with the Classic Rose Leaf stamp and die. The sentiment is also from the paper pad. Pearls were added with Nuvo Crystal Drops around the flowers.
