For the background I used the Heartfelt Creations Word Background and stamped a dove on top in a darker chocolate color. The rose are also HFC from the Classic Rose set and were covered in chunky glitter.  The heart and side panel were dry embossed with embossing folders.  Finished it all off with Bisque Liquid Pearls.

Blessed

The Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge is to use inspiring sentiments.

I have wanted to use this inspiring Verve scripture verse for a while now and decided to use it for the challenge, I thought it fit my cowboy image perfectly.  The SU cowboy was heat embossed and water colored with Stampin Up markers.  I added MFT corner dies and bronze stickles to the corners of the verse.  The background wood panel was created with an inked woodgrain embossing folder which was sprayed with water, giving the embossing a softer look.

The faux leather piece was made with rust colored paper and an embossing folder, then chocolate ink was sponged on top.

The roses were made with the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose stamps and dies.

Supplies:
Stampin Up Wild Wild West - retired
Heat embossing
embossing folders
sponging
Spellbinder label die
MFT Die-namics
Bronze Stickles

Totally Groovy

The Splitcoaststampers Free 4 All challenge is a photo found here.

The inspiration photo seen below, is definitely groovy, so I thought this was the perfect sentiment for my card, along with a large funky flower.  I started with a background of mixed media paper that was stenciled with grit texture paste and sprayed with a soft green.  The flower was made with the Heartfelt Creations Mum and Delightful Daisy leaves, with glitter in the center and the sentiment is by Verve on an My Favorite Things Fishtail Banner Stax Die-namics.

Tropical Paradise

Today for the Splitcoaststampers sketch, I wanted to play with the new Heartfelt Creations Tropical Creations Collection.

I had some fun with the background, I used a variety of spray inks to get a mottled shimmery effect.  The piece on the left was created with an inked embossing folder on lavender card stock.  The main cockatoo image was heat embossed and water colored with Stampin Up markers and the flowers and leaves were stamped, cut out with corresponding dies and sponged.  I added prills and glitter to the flowers and 3D Crystal Lacquer to some of the leaves.  If you'd like some tips on flower shaping, check out this video from Heartfelt Creations.

Unfailing Love

Our Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers is Donna, aka Pink_Lady, I chose this card to case and combined it with the Technique challenge - Shadow Stamping.

I love the beautiful pink rose on Donna's card, I used the HFC Poppy to create a camellia-like flower.  Donna had a wonderful textured background and I also acheived dimension with texture paste and a stencil.  For the Technique Challenge I double stamped a verse from the HFC Uplifting Scriptures stamp set.  The lace border is from the HFC Fleur Border Basics.  The card was finished off with glitter and Nuvo Carnation Pink Crystal Drops.
