Snowy Night

The SCS Inspiration Challenge is the Society 6 site.  You can find the inspiration art I chose here.

I cut a small circle of tape for the background and sponged shades of blue to create the night scene, removing the tape gave me a bright white moon.  The trees are from the Heartfelt Creations Snow Kissed Spruce stamps and dies.  I added some glossy texture paste to a snow stencil and topped with white glitter to add sparkly snow.  The buck is from the HFC Woodsy Critters stamps and dies and was sponged with black ink.  The poinsettias are from the HFC Celebrate the Season collection and were sponge with ink and yellow prills and glitter added.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the same collection and was stamped on a small MFT banner die.

Vintage Roses

The SCS Technique Challenge is to use Acrylic Distress on a card.

The acrylic paint I chose for the challenge turned out to be very close to SU Mint Macaroon, so I used that color for my card base, along with the SU Blackberry Bliss that I used in the roses.  After the embossed paper was painted, I sponged it with cocoa ink and then wiped off the excess with a damp paper towel, I'm so happy with how it turned out! The roses were created with the Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose and Classic Rose leaf stamps and dies and lots of glitter added.  A sentiment from a HFC paper pad was sponged with Blackberry Bliss and added with foam tape.
