My daughter recently went off to college in North Dakota so I've been making her a card every week for encouragement, I've also been including a hand written letter, we text many times a day, but the letters will last forever! For this week's card, I picked this wonderful verse, Proverbs 3 a stamp by ODBD, it's perfect for my hopes for her future! I lined the verse with Spellbinder roses and two wonderful flourishes from the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die set.

Our challenge of dry embossing is one of my all time favorites! I heat embossed and watercolored this wonderful MFP rose with reinkers and raised it with foam tape on a dry embossed backdrop.

Happy Tuesday everyone!! The Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge is a sketch, join us here for the details.

For this gorgeous sketch I selected soft peach and natural cardstock with a stip of corregated cardstock to accent this lovely bird, which I heat embossed and watercolored with reinkers. I inked up the embossing folder with peach ink for more dimensiona and added accents of seam binding ribbon and peach pearls.

The New Year brings many firsts, so I chose the crocus, which is the first flower to bloom in my yard each year. I chose a lavender cardstock, inked an embossing folder and created a background for my heat embossed watercolored flowers.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #106 - New Year's Resolution

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a New Year's Resolution card, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.

Now the cupcake is my New Year's resolution, I'm not sure if it's to eat more of them in 2014, or less!! I think since I didn't eat many in 2013, I'll go with eatting more cupcakes in 2014!
I heat embossed and watercolored my delicious cupcake with reinkers and mounted it and my greeting on Spellbinder dies.
