ODBDSLC200 Use Any Spring colors with ODBD!!



The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is to use spring colors.  Join us here for all of the details.

Spring is here and my favorite sign is that my lilacs are developing, the bushes  will be ready to bloom by mid May.  I have every color and can hardly wait to bring the bouquets in!  For my card, I colored the beautiful Our Daily Bread Designs Lilac with Copic markers and layered on Spellbinder dies with the ODBD Custom Vintage Flourish Pattern die on the bottom.

Other Supplies: Spellbinder dies, jewel stickers, embossing folder,  foam tape, seam binding ribbon, copic markers.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #122 - Vellum

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to use vellum, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.



For this week's challenge, I wanted to use the beautiful new flowers from the Mark's Finest Papers Camellia stamp set.  I heat embossed each flower and used re-inkers and a water brush to water color the flowers, then added a vellum strip with a birthday greeting from the Huge Bloom stamp set and some enamel dots.

ODBDLSC199 Sketch

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is a sketch.  Join us here for all of the details.





Our sketch this week is a perfect opportunity to use the ODBD custom paper 'Blooming Garden', I paired it with this wonderful verse, that brings so much peace and joy to my life!  The verse is mounted on Spellbinder dies with a seam binding bow topped with the ODBD 2 Step Butterfly, underneath you can see my favorite of the ODBD borders from the Beautiful Borders die set.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #121 - Waterfall Card

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a waterfall card, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.



For my waterfall card I chose to use the Mark's Finest Papers 'Friends' and 'Daffodil Greetings' stamp sets. The waterfall card tutorial can be found here.  Each of the panels was colored with copics and the background was stamped with the daffodils and the orange strip stamped with the butterflies.

ODBDSLC198 "He is Risen" with Pastels

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week it to make a card that contains rain or water.  Join us here for all of the details.


Our Daily Bread Designs has released some beautiful dies this month and I've used a few of them for my Easter card.  I layered a cross from the Ornamental Crosses die set on the gorgeous Vintage Flourish Pattern dies.  I added the flourish from the Fancy Flourish die set and flowers (also from the Ornamental Crosses die set) with centers made with a Pearl pen.


Other Supplies: embossing folder, pearl pen,  foam tape.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #120 - Purple & White

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a purple and white card, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.

 I can never pass up a chance to pull out these pretty Mark's Finest Papers pansies,  this time I used them for the background also, as well as a plaid strip from the Chicken Wire Set and the plaid background behind the pansies is from the Kilt Fun Set.  The pansies were heat embossed and water colored with re-inkers, then raised with foam tape.

ODBDSLC197 Rain or Water



The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week it to make a card that contains rain or water.  Join us here for all of the details.


I've been really inspired by the new paper collections at Our Daily Bread Designs, and the one I chose here is the song 'It is Well with My Soul' from the ODBD Christian Faith Collection, it fits perfectly with this wonderful lighthouse which I colored with watercolor pencils.  The lighthouse is mounted  on the beautiful new ODBD Custom Vintage Flourish Pattern dies, which show off the paper underneath.  I finished it off with navy and lavender buttons tied with twine.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #119 - Easter Card


The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make an Easter card, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.

 For the challenge this week, I chose these wonderful Marks Finest Papers Lilies from the Friends Stamp Set, which I colored with copic markers and framed with Spellbinder dies, as well as the Easter greeting from the Spring Joy mini set.
