Lovebirds

The Splitcoaststampers Technique challenge is to make a Dutch Fold Card.

For my Dutch Fold Card I used the Heartfelt Creations Tropical Paradise Collection.  The papers and sentiment are from the Tropical Paradise Paper Pad.  I cut out a heart for behind the lovebirds, who were sponged and colored with water markers.  I added Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear Glitter on the leaves and flowers and Rajni Chawla's Frosting Powder on the heart and sentiment.  The HFC Tropical Plumeria were sponged and cut out with the matching dies, with prills added to centers.

Poppies

The Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use it Challenge is - May the 4th be with 'U', to use U, you, or ewe in a card.

The background was made by dry embossing black card stock and sponging with 3D Stamp Paint in Grass Green.  The sentiment is from the Verve Wonderfully Made stamp set, I sponged the outside of the sentiment circle with Copper 3D Stamp Paint.  The flowers were made with the Heartfelt Creations Blazing Poppy Collection and glittered.

My Favorite Things has a great sketch this week, find it here, and I'm also playing in the Splitcoaststampers Free 4 All Friday Challenge - 'It's CAS to Me' Card.

I dry embossed older dp, colored the piggy from the MFT Sow Much Cuteness set with Copic markers and added lots of MFT Die-namics and Nuvo Carnation Crystal drops.

Blissfull Dogwoods

The Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge is a book art site, which shows many beautiful multi page projects.

I used a Heartfelt Creations Foldout Card form to create my dogwood card.  The dogwood flower and dove stamps come from the HFC Dogwood Collection, as well as the designer paper.  The lacy borders were made with the HFC Elegant Border Basics Die.  A MFT twine bow was added and the little tag comes from the HFC Dogwood paper pad also.  The doves and dogwood sprigs were heat embossed and colored with Stampin Up Markers, the flowers were sponged and glittered.

Layered Poppies

My card today if for the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge.

The Heartfelt Creations Blazing Poppy Collection was used to create my card.  The background paper and tag are from the HFC Blazing Poppy Paper Collection and the poppies were created with the Blazing Poppy stamps and dies.  The HFC Elegant Border Basics Die was used to create the borders and glitter and Nuvo crystal drops were added for accents.  The background lace piece is a retired HFC die and I added Crystal Lacquer for shine.

Hibiscus Garden

The Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge this week is: 
Melon Mambo
Pool Party

For the color challenge I combined elements from the Heartfelt Creations Under the Sea Collection.  The background was sponged with Pool Party ink and splattered with water.  The frame is from the HFC Under the Sea Paper Collection.  The images from the HFC Under the Sea Set were heat embossed and colored with Stampin Up markers.  Finally, the HFC Hibiscus were sponged and I added glitter glue to the stamens and flower centers, as well as accenting the paper and seahorse.  If you'd like to learn more about flower shaping, check out the HFC tutorials.
