ODBDSLC209 - Red, White & Blue Part 2

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is a color challenge of Red, White & Blue.  Join us here for all of the details.

For my second card in the ODBD two week Red, White, & Blue challenge I decided to go with this wonderful ODBD cardinal, which is heat embossed and water colored with re-inkers, I couldn't believe how well it went with the beautiful background paper from the ODBD Christian Faith Collection.  A navy Spellbinder frame was added behind the cardinal and I took this opportunity to use my new Spellbinder feather dies (One cut in red, sponged in red, and one cut in cream and sponged in red) tied with a seam binding bow, twine bow, and button.

ODBD Stamps Used: Sing for Joy
ODBD Paper Used: Christian Faith Collection

Other Supplies: Spellbinder dies, seam binding ribbon, heat embossing, re-inkers, button, twine, jewel stickers.

Very striking! And I always love your "signature" bows, and this time you've added the beautiful red feathers - wow! Hugs, sweet friend!

  2. Love the addition of the feathers! I've never tried coloring with reinkers - though I don't think I should be "trying" anything for a while. :) My craft room is getting rather crowded! But I love your radiant card!
