My Favorite Things Camp Create - Days 1-3

Print

I'm having tons of fun this week participating in MFT's Camp Create, a new challenge each day! The schedule looks like this:

Print

For my Glitzy Glitter card, I used the MFT Flashy Florals stamps and die-namics.

I dry embossed the peachy paper from the MFT Homespun Gingham paper pack, stamping the card base with the MFT Myrad Dot BG stamp.  I cut out the Flashy Florals with the matching die-namics and inked them with MFT ink pads, adding glitter to the centers.  I gave a few of the flowers dimension with foam tape and added a scalloped border with the MFT Stitched Scallop Edges die-namics.

For day two, we're creating slider card.  I love these MFT Gnomes and found the perfect one to make a peekaboo card.

I created my own plaid background using the MFT Plaid Background Builder stamps.  I water colored the main scene background and spritzed with water.  I made the slot for the sliding gnome and used the negative die in the background so the slot is less noticable.

After coloring my images from the MFT You Gnome Me set with copics and cutting them out, I attached an arrow from the Blueprints 28 die-namics to the gnome so that he can jump out and surprise you!  Watch this video from MFT for directions on making a slider card.

All of my favorite details were made with MFT die-namics;
Matt: Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Square
Grass: Grassy Fields
Sun: Sunny Skies

One more card today for the Camp Create Water Color challenge.

I used water color paper and cut out my rectangle with the Stitched Rectangle die-namics and covered it with a light water color wash.  The birches are from the Birch Tree die-namics and the critter and greeting are from the MFT Forest Friends stamp set.  I love making my own pattern paper with MFT background stamps and here I used the Harlequin Background and Gingham Background (my all time fav!).

Here's a closeup of my critter, all of the dies used are MFT die-namics.

That's all for today, but hopefully I can complete all of the challenges and will be back to post them in the next day or two.

Blessings,
DJ
