Wonderful Birthday

Happy Wednesday!
It's New Release Day over at Heartfelt Creations and they've really got a treat for you this month!

For my card, I started with paper from the Backyard Blossoms Paper Collection and created a lace oval by cutting two of the circle doily in the Butterfly Kisses Die set in half and adding them around the border of my oval mats.  The ovals were cut with the Eyelet Oval & Basics Large and Small die sets, distressed and layered with foam tape in between. You can see the lace border peeking out on the sides, that's the Sweetheart Border Die.  For my coneflower, I stamped and cut out three flowers from the Blossoming Coneflower stamps and dies and sponged them with ink, cut the flowers off of two and layered them on the third with foam tape after adding a little sculpting to the backs.  The flowers were then sponged with glue and covered with Crystal Clear Glitter.

The sentiment also comes from the paper collection and was cut out and distressed.

The butterfly was stamped and cut out with the Butterfly Kisses stamps and dies, sponged with ink and covered with glitter.

Before I go, I'd like to warn you about a new danger to crafters everywhere, be prepared, the next picture you see is gruesome.

Yes, this is a brutally dismembered paper poinsettia.

And this is the culprit, looking like an innocent R00mba (automatic vacuum) charging.  Notice that her red light is on, a sign that she's probably full of other crafting supplies that she's eaten that I swear I left on top of my desk.  I'm also missing an Eyelet Oval die and I'm very suspicious that she may be involved.  Last week I found a mangled paper butterfly, it was too horrifying, I couldn't photograph it!

Blessings,
  DJ
