Summer Coffee

Today I'm playing along with the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, you can find the challenge here.

For my coffee card, I dry embossed an aqua background and stamped the java sentiment from the Verve Better With You stamp set a few times to make the kraft background.  A little pizzaz was added with a circle and scalloped border dies.

Corrugated cardboard was used to create the large heart  and two coffee cups were fussy cut from designer paper and corrugated cardboard hand cozies cut out, as well as the tiny hearts.  All of the stamps are from the Verve Better With You Stamp set.

The cat is from The Stamps of Life FluffyCatPudgie4 stamp and die set and was sponged in grey.

Shark Bite

The Splitcoaststampers Technique Challenge is to use two different stencils on your project.

For the challenge, I covered my base paper with Broken China Oxide ink and inked the diamond stencil in the same shade, then inked a flourish stencil in Cracked Pistachio.  The stitched fishtail was inked in Broken China also with a circle stencil.  The stitched fishtail, arrow, large stitched background, and stitched circle dies are from My Favorite Things.

The Stamps of Life Sharkpudgie dies and stamps were used to stamp and cut out the shark and cut out the waves.  The shark was heat embossed and water colored with Stampin Up markers.

Berry Burst Roses

The Splitcoaststampers Sketch this week can be found here.

For the sketch, I wanted to try out some of the new Stampin Up colors.  The base cardstock is Fresh Fig and the matt was made with Berry Burst, the designer paper is from the Heartfelt Creations Raindrops on Roses paper collection and the base was dry embossed and a smaller rectangle of rose covered paper was added under the flowers, the sentiment was also cut out from the paper.

The doily was made from two HFC Decorative Medallion Dies put together and a bow made with Fresh Fig ribbon was added to the roses.  The small rose vines were created with the HFC Classic Rose Bouquet.

The roses were made with the HFC Vintage Foret stamps and dies.  The roses were stamped and sponged in Berry Burst ink and centers were sponged with the new SU Lemon Lime Twist ink, then glittered.

Pink Petunias

The Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge is The Washi Arts Blog.  I chose this paper for my inspiration.

To create this special fold card I used the Heartfelt Creations Classic Petunia Collection stamps, dies, and paper.

I started with the HFC 6x6 Foldout Card and added papers from the HFC Petunia paper collection.  The lacy border was made with the HFC Fleur Border Basics Die and petunias added.

Glitter and Gala Glitz were added to the flowers.

Here's the inside.

Doodled Leaves

The Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use it Challenge this week is called Doodle It.

The blue roses were created with the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose Collection and glitter and a bow were added.  Nuvo Crystal Drops were added around the outside of the bouquet.

For the challenge, I cut out a piece of Kraft card stock and stamped with a MFT Gingham BG stamp in Kraft color ink, then cut out my leaf with the Heartfelt Creations Classic Leaf Die.  I used the die to trace around the die cut with a white chalk pen.
