Holiday Wishes

I'm playing along with the SCS Ways to Use it - Distressing and Free for All Challenges- Holiday card.

For the challenges I used paper from the Heartfelt Creations Festive Holly Paper Collection for the background panels and sentiment.  The poinsettias were created with the HFC Sparkling Poinsettia stamps and dies, the images were stamped with Stazon ink on Art Foam and sculpted with a heat gun.

I added stamens to the centers and covered in glitter.

Birthday Roses

The SCS Sketch can be found here.

For the sketch, I started with the Heartfelt Creations Raindrops on Roses paper collection, which were used in all the paper panels.  The roses were sponged in Color Box Dark Peony and MFT Sour Apple and sculpted in the HFC 3D Rose Shaping Mold.

The center oval was cut out of a paper panel and placed on a HFC Eyelet Oval & Basics die.  The left panels were dry embossed with embossing folders.

The roses were finished by sponging with glue and covering in glitter.

Favorite Stories Bookmark

The My Favorite Things Color Challenge colors are:

I created a bookmark with the MFT Our Stories.  The images were colored with copic markers and placed the sentiment on a MFT pierced rectangle die-namics.  It's finished off with a seam binding ribbon.

Framed Deer

The SCS Featured Stamper of the week is Donna aka Krashscrapper.

I chose this adorable card of hers to case.  I love the deer and wonderful country feel of the wood frame.  I used a piece of designer paper with birch trees for the background and a deer die that I purchased from Amazon.  The frame was also created with designer paper that was raised with foam tape for dimension.  The poinsettias were heat embossed in silver with the Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia stamps and dies and the holly was made with the HFC Festive Holly stamps and dies.  The sprigs of greenery are dies from Wplus9.

The sentiment from the HFC Celebrate the Season Ornate Sleigh set was stamped on an MFT die.

Polar Bear Christmas

The SCS Free for All challenge is to use wood or trees on our card.

For the challenge, I chose this sweet bear and trees from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Winter Bears Clear Stamps and dies sets and the berries were stamped with the ECD Blossom Time Clear stamps and die sets.  The images were stamped on water color paper and watercolored with Stampin Up markers.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is also ECD, but all other dies are My Favorite Things Die-namics.  The kraft background was stamped with a MFT plaid background stamp in kraft ink and a striped twine bow was added to the berry sprigs.

Poinsettias on Snowflakes

This week's SCS sketch can be found here.

The background was made with a piece of designer paper from the Heartfelt Creations Sparkling Poinsettia paper pad, topped with a large snowflake from the HFC Arianna Lace dies and the HFC Botanic Window die.  The poinsettias were sponged and sculpted from the HFC Sparkling Poinsettia stamps and dies, they are layered over mistletoe from the HFC Window Box Fillers stamps and dies.

The flowers and mistletoe were finished with a coat of glitter and the sentiment from the HFC Ornate Sleigh Stamp set was stamped on a tag made with the HFC Cut Mat Create 1B die.
