It's always nice when you find the perfect masculine stamps, ones that fit any occasion, this Mark's Finest Papers set, 'Classic Dad', does just that! I colored up these cars with copic markers and added a simple multi layer sentiment from the same set.

I'm so excited with how easily this card came together!! I masked the reeds and stamped the heron over, then colored with copic markers, embossing folders did most of the work!!

This is my favorite vacation image ever, I can just imagine myself on that sandy beach! I heat embossed the image and watercolored with Stampin Up reinkers. I stamped the sentiment from the same Mark's Finest Papers 'Island Life' set and layered on Spellbinder dies. The tropical flower is from My Favorite Things.

I wanted to make a card for my stash that would fit different ages, I chose the Mark's Finest Papers 'Oh Crab' set, the fish and seahorse were heat embossed and colored with Stampin Up reinkers then popped up with foam tape on a watercolor background that was brayered with ink and then embossed with an embossing folder. The finishing touch is a twine bow and blue button.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge - New Job card

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a card celebrating a new job, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set: http://www.mfpspeedytv.ning.com/.
I've seen a lot of beautiful cards made with watercolor backgrounds, so I thought I'd give it a try. Using Stampin Up reinkers, I put drops on watercolor paper and spritzed with water, letting it run and spread. I stamped whimsical trees from the new Mark's Finest Papers 'Birds and Trees' stamp set and added a sentiment from the MFP 'Zoo Friends' set.
