Friends of Speedy TV challenge #131 - Note Cards

I kept these really simple, using the beautiful flowers from the new MFP Great Flowers Stamp set and the large selection of sentiments that come with it to make 4 coordinating note cards.

ODBDSLC208 - Birthday Card

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is make a one layer card.  Join us here for all of the details.

For my birthday card, I used the Our Daily Bread Designs Cherry Blossom stamp and a sentiment from the Be Joyful set.  The flowers were colored with Copic markers and popped up with foam tape. The pink frame and ODBD wood dp background were embossed, and buttons added to the corners and to the seam binding and twine bows.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #130 - Use Buttons

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge is to make use buttons on your card, join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.



I heat embossed this beatiful MFP Tiger Lily and  water colored it with re-inkers and a water pen, added a Spellbinder die frame and some orange buttons tied with twine.  The kraft wood background was made with the MFP Plywood stamp.

For my one layer card, I used the Our Daily Bread Designs Vintage Flourish Pattern Die and added the Violets from the 'The Lord Has Risen' set which I colored with Copic markers and added a little sponging around the edges.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #129 - Side Step Card

I was a little skeptical if I could produce a Side Step card (I'm not very good at cutting and folding), but I was very pleasantly surprised by the result.  Here's the wonderful tutorial I used.



I heat embossed these sweet images from the MFP Rain Clouds set and water colored them with re-inkers.

ODBDSLC206 - Pink, Ivory, & Tan

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is a color challenge of pink, ivory, and tan.  Join us here for all of the details.





For our color challenge, I was inspired by the wonderful new paper collection, Blushing Rose by ODBD. Such beautiful colors and I combined them with a beautiful verse and asters from the new Asters Dies set on embossed and distressed papers.  I added a couple leaves from the Asters set, as well as leaves from the Fancy Foliage Die set.  The asters were topped with pearl stickers.

I decided to make a Father's Day card with the patriotic colors of the color challenge and used the MFP Classic Dad Stamp set.  I layered the greeting on Spellbinder dies and embossed the background with an embossing folder.

ODBDSLC205 - White on White

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is to use make a white on white card.  Join us here for all of the details.

White on White is always a good choice for a wedding card, so I brought out this wonderful verse from the ODBD Bless Your Heart set and added many layers of Spellbinder dies, a seam binding bow, and the wonderful lace border die from the ODBD Beautiful Borders Dies set.  The rosettes were purchased by the yard from my fabric store.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #127 - Beach Theme

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a card with flowers , join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.


For my beach card, I heat embossed the sand dollars and water colored them with re inkers, the plaid background was made with the Kilt Fun Stamp set plaid stamp. The sand dollars and sentiment were raised with foam tape for dimension.
