For my inspiration this week, I chose the fall flowers in the bottom left picture and used the ODBD Aster dies to create my blooms.  I layered them with foam tape for more depth and also sponged the edges of  some, with dies from the ODBD Fancy Foliage die set underneath.

Here's the photo I chose for inspiration.

I just got some pretty mulberry paper flowers that were perfect for the inspiration challenge and I used this cheerful verse by ODBD, layered on two Spellbinder circles and the wonderful new doily die by ODBD.  The background was embossed with an inked embossing folder and I added a seam binding bow with pink button on top.

The Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs this week is the second week to create a card with stitching, real or faux .  Join us here for all of the details.

I made a variety of Spellbinder flowers for this one with a sun punch for the centers and added a flourish and leaves from the Our Daily Bread Designs Fancy Foliage set.  The beautiful verse was stamped on a Vintage Label die and I traced the die in black to make a slightly bigger version to frame my verse.  The background was stamped with the wonderful new doily stamp from the Birthday Doily set in yellow and added some stitching along the side.

Friends of Speedy TV challenge #140 - Child's Card

The Friends of Speedy TV challenge this week is to make a card for a child.  Join us here for a chance to win a stamp set and for all of the details on the latest challenge.

Super fun challenge this week to make a child's card.  I decided to take it under the sea with this sweet seahorse from Mark's Finest Papers 'Oh, Crab stamp set'.  The seahorse was heat embossed and colored with Stampin Up pens and a water brush and the greeting was borrowed from the Silly Shells Stamp Set.  I added lots of layers of Spellbinder dies and blue sparkly jewels and the black background pieces were embossed with a swirl embossing folder and I used a punch to round the corners.
