Celebrate the Season

The Power Poppy Power & Spark Challenge this month is to use Embellishments, I'm also participating in the Splitcoaststampers color challenge.

I heat embossed the image and water colored with Stampin Up markers.  For embellishment, I added sequins, glitter, sprigs of berries and a snowflake.  The background designer paper was dry embossed and a Magnolia lace doily border was added at the bottom.

Cheery Roses

I'm playing along with the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge today.


I chose these sweet roses by Power Poppy, they were heat embossed and colored with Stampin Up markers.  The background was stamped with the MFT Garden Flourish BG and I added a MFT doily die behind the image and a round Cheery Lynn doily die.

Star of Wonder

I'm playing along with the Splitcoaststampers -TLC- White Silhouettes challenge.

For my white silhouettes, I heat embossed the three kings in white on a water colored background.  The verse was mounted on My Favorite Things dies and I dry embossed a Sizzix Primitive Star die for on top, the background was also embossed  and I raised the MFT frame with foam tape.

Winter Cabin

I'm combining three challenges today: the Our Daily Bread Shining the Light challenge- to use heat embossing ad dry embossing,  the Splitcoaststampers sketch, and the Splitcoaststampers Ways to Use it challenge - brush work.




I heat embossed the cabin and rabbit and water colored the sky and colored the cabin with Stampin Up markers. The background designer paper was dry embossed and I added a greeting from the ODBD Christmas Carols set.


 

I have a soft spot in my heart for bunnies and this bunny from the Midwinter set is extra sweet! I wanted to make him a focal point so I placed him on a bed of branches made with the ODBD Fancy Foliage dies.

Oak and Olive

I'm joining in the Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper challenge, this week the FS is Jamieruthp, who has a wonderful gallery, I chose this card as my inspiration.



I loved the colors and leafy theme of the inspiration card, so I heat embossed my wonderful new image from the Power Poppy Olive and Oak stamp set and water colored it with Stampin Up markers. I added a strip of music along the bottom with a trim made with a Recollections border punch.

This is one of my favorite scripture verses and it was stamped on a MFT Die-namics Double Stitched Oval stax and I added red enamel dots.

Peaceful Christmas

We have a very gorgeous inspiration photo for the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge this week, check it out below my card.



I combined the SLC with the Ways to Use it challenge - book print challenge. I colored my ODBD deer image with Stampin Up markers after heat embossing, and added a poinsettia made with the original ODBD poinsettia die and the new Merry Mosaics Dies as an overlay, the center was cut out of gold paper.

Joy

I'm playing along with the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge, Anything Goes:


It was tons of fun to create a snowy scene with my Paper Smooches Warm Hearts stamp set and dies, I colored the images with Copic markers.  The background was embossed with a polka dot embossing folder.

The greeting was cut out with stitched dies and raised with foam tape and I added a bit of holly from the same stamp set.

Garden Gnome

The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week is full of gorgeous illustrations, you can see my sweet artistic choice here.
The colors and theme were of this illustration immediately reminded me of my MFT Gnome stamps set.  I brought out the mushroom, plum, and green from the illustration and colored my gnome with copic markers.

The background was stamped with the MFT Gingham BG and dry embossed with a plaid ef, and the MFT Jumbo Stitched Fishtail Flag Stax die cut was stamped with the MFT Sketched Chevron BG and dry embossed with a polka dot ef.  The oval was sponged with the MFT Brick Wall stencil and layered on a MFT doily die cut.  I added a strip of my favorite green polka dot dp and a border of MFT Stitched Scallop Edges die cut.

Snowflakes

The Our Daily Bread Shining the Light challenge this week is a sketch.


I created a water color background of blue and lavender and added ODBD snowflakes heat embossed in white that were fussy cut and raised with foam tape.  I added an embossed strip and ODBD lace border die. The greeting is from the ODBD Blessed Christmas.

Sand Dollar

I'm checking in today with a card for the Splitcoaststampers Sketch, as well as the WT- Cats challenge.


I embossed the background pieces, cutting out the two panels with the MFT Die-namics Vertical Stitched Strips with a Magnolia lace border die cut along one side.  This sweet Penny Black kitty wreath was heat embossed and water colored with Stampin Up markers on a MFT Die-namics Cross Stitch Rectangle Stax die cut.  The bottom was wrapped with a bit of red striped twine.

Christmas Church

Today I'm participating in the World Card Making Day challenge at Power Poppy.
The challenge is to use a sketch, unconventional Christmas colors, and sparkle.

I chose to use peach as my non-conventional Christmas color and heat embossed this wonderful church image by Power Poppy and water colored it with markers. The tag was made with the Merry Littles set, the greeting, bow and sweet sprigs are all from the set. The background was dry embossed and I added a Magnolia lace border die cut along the musical strip and a Cheery Lynn doily die is peaking out at the bottom.

I made this card today for the Splitcoaststampers sketch.
My ODBD poinsettia was heat embossed, cut out with the matching die, then I watercolored it with markers. The background papers were dry embossed and sponged and I added ODBD lace border and a MFT pierced fishtail flag die with the scripture verse.

Celebrate the Season

I'm participating in the Power Poppy Bits & Pieces Challenge and the Color Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.

The Power Poppy Bits & Pieces challenge is to use only part of an image.  I've been waiting all year to ink up this sweet vintage image and I thought it would be perfect for the color challenge as a non traditional Christmas card. I heat embossed the main image, as well as the background flowers and watercolored with Stampin Up markers. I sponged the layers, as well as a tag with the greeting, and added a bit of holly and a seam binding bow.

Bonjour

It's time for the My Favorite Things Color challenge 30, this month's colors are:
Spearmint
Tropical Teal
Lemon Chiffon
Gumdrop Green

For the challenge, I stamped the Spearmint BG with the Romantic Script BG and dry embossed.  The Paris silhouette was placed on top of a watercolored background and I added the sweet girl image from the MFT Mon Cheri Set colored with Copic markers, with the greeting stamped on a small flag die with a key tied with a satin ribbon.  I also added some sparkly enamel dots.

Water Color Mittens

Today's Technique challenge at Splitcoaststampers is to cut die cuts out of water colored paper and I used this week's My Favorite Things Sketch (MFTWSC248).



For the challenges today, I layered several matts, the Kraft layer stamped with the MFT Writing Tablet BG, the Sno Cone matt was stamped with the MFT Myriad Dot BG and cut out with the MFT Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square Stax, and the Field Green layer was cut out with the stitched square from the MFT Blueprints 8 and Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square Stax and stamped with the MFT Sweater Stitch.
I cut out my water colored mittens with the MFT Cozy Mittens Die-namics and added snowflakes from the same set, also cut out of water colored paper. I added a designer paper Fishtail Flag with a cute greeting, a paperclip from the MFT Office Supply Die-namics, enamel dots and twine to tie the mittens.

Christmas Hedgie

I'm playing along with the Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoaststampers today, the FS is Mayapple, she has a wonderfully whimsical gallery, full of fun creations! It was so hard to pick a favorite, but I chose this one, I love the sweet hedgie and adorable scene.

I decided to cut out my critter with a MFT Double Stitched Circle Die-namics after heat embossing and water coloring with markers.  I was looking through my paper pads when I found this black piece covered in Christmas greetings, I had originally planned on adding a greeting, as in Mayapple's card, but decided to let the dp do it for me. The green polka dot paper was dry embossed with a Stampin Up Snow EF.  I sponged the main image and scalloped border and added a MFT bow die-namics, holly die and enamel dots.

Snow Bird

I'm playing along with the Splitcoaststamper Inspiration challenge today, you can find the inspiration I chose here.
I had so much fun with this color combo yesterday, that when I saw the inspiration, I couldn't resist, plus, there was the chance to color this sweet little Stampendous bird!  The image was heat embossed and water colored with SU markers, the greeting is by Verve and both were cut out with MFT Double Stitched Oval Stax Die-namics.  I made a similar red ink embossed border as yesterday, but added a different Magnolia lace border and red gingham knot.

I added glitter glue accents to the berries.

Peace, Joy & Love

I'm playing along with the Free for All - Dog challenge at Splitcoaststampers.



I love this sweet little trio from Simon Says Stamps, today they were heat embossed and water colored with Stampin Up markers.  The background was stamped with the MFT Gingham BG stamp and cut out with the MFT Blueprints 8 stitched square Die-namics. The image and greeting were cut out with MFT Double Stitched Circle Die-namics.  I embossed the red cross piece with an inked embossing folder and added a Magnolia lace border.  The bow is from the MFT bow Die-namics and the scalloped circles are by Spellbinder.

I'm playing along with the Splitcoaststamper sketch challenge today.



Christmas Blessings

I'm excited to play in two challenges today, the Our Daily Bread Shining the Light challenge to use inked or embossed background and the Ways to Use - Greenery challenge.


I LOVE this manger scene, so fun to color! Today I heat embossed the image and water colored it with Stampin Up markers.  I dry embossed all of the layers, for the bottom one, I also inked the embossing folder. I put foam tape between the layers of the star and also under the image, and added a ODBD tag with a couple bows of greenery and a satin ribbon.
